The new collection at Alchemy beautifully encapsulates the mood of the modern world to create some truly spectacular pieces. Etched, Lacquered and carved mirror and glass combined with timber, veneers and metal create some timeless pieces. Metals both steel and brass have been liberally used in inlay, laser cutting and accents to glamorize the designs.
Solid wood recrafted to perfection, rediscovery of old techniques and traditional materials with a contemporary spirit and interpretation find proud place in our new collection. Gold, bronze, copper along with a hint of olive or magenta is our color palate for this season.
ALCHEMY DESIGNERS
Alchemy is a window of creativity of two profolic design professionls, Anupama Dalmia and Nupur Gupta who together create a direction of design for modern, minimal home.
Anupama has studied design in “Parsons School Of Design New York”, she began later by conceptualizing and designing various interior projects before Alchemy was seeded. An absolute perfectionist, with a keen eye on detail and practical start, where aesthetics are paramount.
Nupur after studying design in Calcutta has worked first with Rupande Shah and later Raseel Gujral of casa paradox. Together with Anupama they began with various interesting corporate and more design ventures, and then Alchemy happened in 2005.
After that there has been no looking back as now both of them are turning their creative dreams into designing reality.
